Northpoint Shopping Centre in Hull has experienced a surge of activity just in advance of the busy Christmas shopping period. New coffee shop Caffechino has just opened and existing retailers O So Fresh, fruit and vegetable store, and sandwich bar Broome’s have both moved into larger units at the Centre.
Managed by FI Real Estate Management (FIREM), the 217,000 sq ft Centre has over sixty busy retailers with only four units now remaining available.
It lies just four miles from Hull city centre close to one of the largest residential estates in Europe with an immediate catchment population of 79,000 and a total catchment population of 258,000.
Commented Rob Melling, FIREM’s property manager with responsibility for Northpoint:
“FIREM has been working closely with its marketing agents and tenants to develop a business strategy which will deliver a shopping centre that serves the community. In addition to this our centre management team headed by Louise Smith, who joined in April 2013, are working tirelessly to provide a safe and exciting shopping environment. They are building strong relationships with local stakeholders to understand and identify what the local community would expect at the centre. These recent lettings which have created 30 new jobs at the centre, demonstrate that this strategy is coming to fruition and the scheme is once again developing into the heart of the community”
